-
CreepStorm is a gothic tower defence RPG that replaces towers with upgradeable heroes, and it's coming exclusively to Amazon Fire tablets.

Yep, rather than the usual boring towers, you'll have vampire slayers at your command in order to slice up and blast hordes of the undead Creeps.

The slayers all have their own weapons and character skill trees for you to upgrade as you progress. Pyromania, guns, and stakes all appear in the game.

-
King is trying to rot your teeth with the new sugary level packs it released for both Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga.

Candy Crush Saga got a new Crumbly Coast episode starring Harry the Big Foot. Funny that, as that's what we call PG's reviews editor, Harry Slater.

Apparently, Harry has "magnificent hair, a charming personality, and is partial to heaps of cookies." Yep, this is adding up.

Jokes aside, the idea in these 15 new levels is to help Harry (the Big Foot) get at those cookies he's after. You can download these levels for free, of course.
Fizzy
Moving on to Candy Crush Soda Saga, it also got 15 new levels today inside a Sodalicious Spa.

You apparently join the Factory Master this time (no Harry!) as you mix and match the sweet and fizzy.

You can download Candy Crush Saga for free on the App Store and Google Play.

The same goes for Candy Crush Soda Saga. Download it free on the App Store and Google Play.
TouchArcade
-
DeNA and The Pokemon Company are working together on the next Pokemon mobile game. This information comes as a result of DeNA's recent investor briefing where it was made clear that the partnership had been fully agreed and that a speculative March 2020 release date had been pigeonholed for the project.

This isn't the first time that DeNA have worked with Nintendo, they handled development of most of the larger Nintendo mobile properties: Miitomo, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They're also attached to the Mario Kart Tour project, which we're all very excited about.

DeNA: teamed up with Pokémon Co. to release a smartphone game by March next year. More to be announced when appropriate. pic.twitter.com/8XjhyOmebw— Takashi Mochizuki (@mochi_wsj) May 10, 2019
The source of the information, tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki, added that Pokemon Co. doesn't have the same pricing philosophy as Nintendo. In a posted quote it was stated that Nintendo follow the belief that a lower point of entry will minimize any backlash from consumers, thus preserving the brand. The Pokemon Company and DeNA's pricing intents appear to be starkly different, with the CEO of DeNA stating that they are 'counting on' revenue from the upcoming game.

What could a new Pokemon game look like on mobile? While many would prefer a more traditional adventure title for handsets, Nintendo are unlikely to move core series outings away from their own platforms. Personally I'm hoping that the team will use their experience with the Fire Emblem franchise to create an experience which is close to 2012's Pokemon Conquest game.
Of course we reviewed Pokemon Conquest when it launched! We declared 'More Pokemon spin-off delight as Pokemon Conquest proves an entirely enjoyable ordeal' and awarded the strategy game a Silver Rating.
Regardless of what form the title takes, we have little to go on outside of speculation at the moment. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for updates, however, so it is well worth checking back with us as more information becomes available.
Looking for the latest news on upcoming games? We have a section for that.
Source: Takashi Mochizuki (Twitter), via Toucharcade

Niantic's European Head of Product Marketing, Anne Beuttenmüller, announced in an interview with Gram magazine that PvP will be coming to Pokemon Go by the end of this year.

Beuttenmüller doesn't go into much detail about how the PvP will play but we can assume it'll work similarly to gym battles. You attack your opponent's Pokemon by tapping and avoid their attacks by swiping.

The interview happened during a Cassandra Prime event that was held on July 27th - 29th in Warsaw, Poland. Cassandra Prime events tie into Niantic's other big game, Ingress, which is a similar location-based AR game.

Pokemon Go seems to have really bounced back in a major way since the drought it experienced a few months after it was released. The vast improvements Niantic have made to the game haven't gone unnoticed and people are starting to hop back in to catch em' all.
