And when in his fair parts she did abide,

Valve teased its latest game, a TCG, a while back and the reception was mild after everyone expected another entry in Valve's portfolio of legendary titles.

Still, Artifact is more interesting that that and at a preview event earlier this week, they delivered a lot of information.

The most important piece is that the game's actually designed by Richard Garfield, known for Magic: The Gathering. As you can imagine, that's quite the name to put forward on a card game. Artifact is furthermore, and quite surprisingly, a paid app as Valve wants to avoid any kind of buy-to-win scenario.

Artifact is based on DOTA and features a lane-based gameplay that should be familiar to those who've played it. This is quite novel in a card game though and should open plenty of strategic opportunities. Creeps will spawn in each lane and you'll have towers to defend or attack. The idea is if your tower is defeated, an ancient will spawn there. If he dies, it's game over.

You'll switch between lane after each round, meaning that you'll have to plan quite far ahead.

This is the first time that we'll see the Source 2 in action on mobile but we'll have to wait quite a bit as it isn't scheduled to release until mid-2019 on Android and iOS tablets.

Still, seing Valve making games again is great and we can only hope that's just the start.
SourceOnirim - Solitaire Card Game Mod Onirim - Solitaire Card Game Mod v1.4.0 (Unlocked) Features:UnlockedA Golden Geek Best Solo Board Game Nominee, Onirim is a card game where you play as a Dreamwalker, lost in a mysterious labyrinth, and you must discover the oneiric doors before your dreamtime runs out - or you will remain trapped forever!Wander through the chambers of dreams, hoping that chance will reveal the doors, or linger in each type of room.
Tomorrow Corporation has revealed that its next game is a "puzzle game for nerds" that it calls Human Resource Machine.

No platforms have been announced yet but we're going to go out on a limb and say that mobile is pretty likely.

What we can tell you is that the game will have you using your little workers to solve the puzzle in each level. Once you do, you'll get promoted to work on the next floor of the towering skyscraper it all takes place in.

Apparently, each level represents a year, so it seems likely that the game is an appropriation of the corporate ladder, i.e. you use your workers and get closer to the top.

Perhaps it's a cynical take on the dog-eat-dog world of business. It being called Human Resource Machine certainly alludes to that.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to tell quite yet as we don't have more information about the game to go on. But Tomorrow Corporation says more is to come very soon.

Oh, and if you need reminding, you'll probably know Tomorrow Corporation for its previous puzzle adventure Little Inferno.

Or, if not that one, you surely know about World of Goo. That's one of the games that the people at the studio worked on before at 2DBoy.

So we can hopefully expect for Human Resource Machine to be just as interesting as those two puzzle games are. We'll let you know more about it once we get the info.
Pool Billiards ProA LAMP, soaked with too much oil and flaring brightly, boasted that it gave more light than the sun. Then a sudden puff of wind arose, and the Lamp was immediately extinguished. Its owner lit it again, and said: "Boast no more, but henceforth be content to give thy light in silence. You play a bitter detective who gets dragged into a dilemma after investigating a gangland murder.

Following in the footsteps of recent adventure games, The Detail focuses on forcing you to make tough decisions in an unfair world.

You'll be dealing with a reformed criminal trying to protect his family, for instance, which is a recipe for tragedy if you ask me.Rival Games says it was inspired by Telltale Games's The Walking Dead series and combined its formula with the themes HBO's crime drama The Wire.

Today, publisher Boss Team Games and developer Gamaga have announced that they will be releasing Cobra Kai: Card Fighter for iOS and Android on March 19th, with pre-registration open now. It will be a free-to-play, turn-based card battler that follows the story of the popular Netflix series.

It will see players choosing which path to follow out of Miyagi-Do Karate and Cobra Kai throughout the campaign and PvP mode. Aside from taking part in battles, players will set about building their own dojo before recruiting a cast of familiar faces from the show and training them to become All Valley Champions.

"Oh, Leslie--I know--and I'm so glad, dear," she said, putting her arms about her.
The maker of mobile benchmarking tool GameBench has used its software to pit iOS against Android in the one criterion that really matters: gaming performance.

The team compared Apple's iPhone 6 with three Android-powered devices: the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Nexus 6, and the HTC One M9, and measured their frame rates while playing a number of high-end games.

The GameBench tool runs in the background on each device, while testers play the same level on the same game, with the same graphical settings, for 15 minutes a pop.

The games tested included Asphalt 8, Dead Trigger 2, Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Marvel: Contest of Champions, GTA: San Andreas, and Monument Valley.

The team was looking at three specific factors surrounding frames per second: the median FPS, the minimum FPS, and FPS stability. In all three metrics, a higher score is better.

Each game perfomed quite differently with some running better on an Android and others on iOS. But when averaged across all the games, the iPhone 6 won in all three criteria.

The Apple device "tended to have the highest median frame rate (40fps) and the highest minimum frame rate (32fps)," says GameBench. "It was the only device in our ranking to maintain an average minimum frame rate above 30fps".

The iPhone 6 also had the greatest frame rate stability of all the test devices, with a rock solid 92 percent.

The Galaxy S6 wasn't too far behind, mind you, with a median of 36fps, a minimum of 29fps, and a stability of 84 percent. The other Android devices didn't perform so well, with more frequent drops below 30fps.

GameBench is aware that the tests aren't perfect. The Galaxy S6 has a much higher screen resolution than the iPhone 6, for example, meaning games need to push more pixels.

And the firm says a number of factors could be behind the Android downfall. "Poor gameplay can result from poor optimisation of the device, poor optimisation of the game or game engine, differences in screen resolution, RAM, or the design of the processor".

But whatever the case, iPhone users now have one more reason to be insufferably pleased with themselves.

You can get the full report on GameBench's blog.

"Leslie didn't cry at her father's funeral any more then she had cried at Kenneth's. Rose whooped and howled for two, however, and Leslie had all she could do trying to calm and comfort her mother. I was disgusted with Rose and so was everyone else, but Leslie never got out of patience. She loved her mother. Leslie is clannish--her own could never do wrong in her eyes. Well, they buried Frank West beside Kenneth, and Rose put up a great big monument to him. It was bigger than his character, believe ME! Anyhow, it was bigger than Rose could afford, for the farm was mortgaged for more than its value. But not long after Leslie's old grandmother West died and she left Leslie a little money--enough to give her a year at Queen's Academy. Leslie had made up her mind to pass for a teacher if she could, and then earn enough to put herself through Redmond College. That had been her father's pet scheme--he wanted her to have what he had lost. Leslie was full of ambition and her head was chock full of brains. She went to Queen's, and she took two years' work in one year and got her First; and when she came home she got the Glen school. She was so happy and hopeful and full of life and eagerness. When I think of what she was then and what she is now, I say--drat the men!"
